Here is the yarn I think I'm going to use for the Knit Off this weekend. It is from Yarning Yenta on etsy. It is self striping and called Kermit Loves Piggy.

I hope to get these sock done by the weekend! I don't need another WIP hanging around! I just really want to finish something. I'm still working on the Toddler size Carolina's, I have to finishes Jane's mate, so when she gets back from HI she has a friend to play with! I'm also working on a thing for a friend, I can't really talk about it now, it a gift for someone and I'm not sure if she reads my blog...but it's almost done...I'm going to finished it up next week...it should only take a few hours! I also have some more Socktopia test knits to do :) This one is a SWEET pattern! I work on them in between MS3. I've also been spinning like mad! Right now I'm spinning a very soft limey sagey green merino and milk blend! ohhh so nice. The milk fiber spins a lot like bamboo, but is a little hard to draft like soy silk. But wow this stuff is NICE! I'll take pictures when I'm finished!

Secret Project!

So I've been talking about this Secret Project...Now I can tell you about it! Momma-Monkey and I have been working on these great sock kits.
The kits will include a Monkey Bag, a Notion bag with a beaded zipper pull, handmade stitch markers, a sock pattern, and yarn that I dyed just for the kits.

There will also be kits with my handspun sock yarn. There are very few of them and they are one of a kind!

As of right now this is the only place you can get my handspun sock yarn.

Remember that Bamboo Blend Gooey dyed a couple of months ago, well here it is...a Gooey size Carolina. I had to change the number of st..so the ribbing changed. Ahh ain't it cute!!!

Here is my yarn porn for this week. These were custom dyed for the secret project I'm working on :) They are all my superwash sock yarns. Oh and the mini stitch markers are going to be part of it :) As soon as I can post more info I will so stay tuned!
Here is my new skeinwinder. OH MAN I love her! I finished her with Fiber Reactive Dye (yes the same stuff you dye yarn with) and some stain.

As for knitting and spinning... I'm working on a test knit, and my sock for this month. Also I signed up for MS3...I'm not sure what yarn I'm going to use yet...

Handspun yarn Porn on the bobbin

OHHHH i'm in love! I'm spinning this yarn from wool mohair laps that I got from tisjewel. I dyed them in one of my fav colors, Strawberry Nut... (check out www.tisjewelart.etsy.com she does beautiful things with fiber and mixed media)

This yarn may end up a Socktopia prize or it maybe for something else...you'll have to stay tuned for info on that..I'm don't normaly show my socktopia stuff before MM does...but I just hadddd to show you this, and well it's not done yet so it doesn't count!

I've been spinning alot of merino, so this is a nice change...no it's not as soft but it's beauty makes up for that!

I've been working on a lot of stuff I really can't talk about...I can't wait to share!!! Soon, soon soon! I haven't started any new knitting, well that I can show you. But I hope to start a pair of socks for Socktopia and 6 sock KAL... I love when a pattern works for both. So I should have some knitting pictures soon.

My skeinwinder and my extra bobbins are FINELY on the way here...My hackle should be here soon, it's been on backorder FOREVER! I reallly want to play with it! But I'm happy about getting the skeinwinder and the bobbins!

Sorry about no pictures of little Zara this week, I can't get her to sit still long..her ears are starting to stand and she is getting BIG.. I'll try to get a picture of her soon!
