This is what I did this morning :) All finished by noon and they are almost dry :) I should have them reskeined and in my etsy shop tomorrow or tue... the olive ones are mine, they are my gaywool and country classic test...but don't fear I will have those colors along with others in my shop soon.

Yarn Porn a little early

Here is the yarn that I've spun for Momma-Monkey You've seen the browns and the green and the hot pink before but the light pinks are new, well new to you. I'll give you a recap of the yarn. Hot pink and green; Merino, top blue; Merino and Soy Silk, brownish to the left; Merino and Mohair, next we have Merino and Soy Silk, and then Wool and silk bits. All sock yarn but the last.
Here we have Merino and Bamboo and Merino and Silk Noil.

More wool washing and some doggies

7wks old yesterday. I'm met to get pictures up yesterday....She is soo damn smart. She knows her name and "come" . She even understand "no" most of the time. If you click on one of the pics there are pictures of Maggie and Zara on my flickr page...I have to get some outside pics of them together.


Her ears should be up soon :)


ahhh she likes wool...don't worry she didn't eat any. And as you can see I was just sssssoooo upset I had to take a picture:)

I sent the day washing my boyfriend the Coopworth fleece. This fleece came from the same sheep as last year, Ali Baba. The first picture is this years fleece. Below that is last years fleece (I think it was his first) This years fleece is still wet but it seems sooo much shiner. This years fleece had cleaner tips, so there really isn't any yellowing to them.. Not that I minded it or anything. It will be a wile before I get to spin any of the new fleece up. I have to work on the MASTER PLAN....details will come soon:)

There is about little over a Lb left from last years stuff...I was saving it till I had this years. There is some lock to lock pictures on flickr if you want to see


I also washed the Lb of Salish Leicester today. This wool is has some great natural color and is very soft. I can't wait to spin it up :)

This came in the mail today. There is some mugs, vintage pyrex, lipgloss, a handmade card, one of her jars with bath stuff in it and a necklace that came from mack.etsy.com (i've wanted it for like forever). She even put the necklace in a box that she did!!! Thank you Kath! I love it!

Meet Zara

Here is the new puppy, Zara. She'll have some fancy AKC name as soon as fill out the paper work....It will be Tzara Vom something something. Zara is 6wk old and super cute, well you can see that! (she a German Shephard) Maggie loves her. Maggie sticks to me like glue most of the time but she seems to be handling it pretty well. The funny thing is that Zara won't submit to her. Now the cats, that's a different story...They don't know what to make of her just yet. For the time being they are all bigger then her. Zara could care less about the cats, but does like yarn....The yarn basket is now up. No damage done :) I'm hoping to train her to do something cool like herding or tracking. I think that would be fun, and well with the herding I get to be around sheep :)

Here they are all washed up and pretty. This is some of the sock yarn I have spun up for socktoipa prizes. I can show them to you because they were givin away this weeked for prizes! I have about 11 more 4 oz batches to spin up so there will be more to come! If you haven't joined Socktoipa yet, you should!

I spun this up for Momma-Monkey.
I so love those colors and this yarn is sooo soft!

I swaped some CTH lace for this last year on the Knittyboards,
I wish I remembered who I got it from...anyway I using this yarn
to make Simple Knitted Bodice in my spare time. I just working on it
a couple hours a day, just to take a break from the spinning for Socktopia
and the test knitting. I really like how this sweater is coming out so far.
We will see how it goes :)
